Blue Sea Systems develops electrical systems used across a wide range of boats and marine vessels. Their products are highly technical by nature, designed to ensure safety, reliability, and performance onboard. Explaining how these systems work clearly and consistently is essential — both for professionals and end users.

Merged partnered with Blue Sea Systems to create a growing series of product videos that translate complex electrical functionality into clear, engaging visual stories.

The Challenge

Blue Sea Systems offers multiple products and systems, each with its own technical explanation. Over time, educational content had grown organically, resulting in videos that worked individually but lacked a unified visual structure and consistency across the product range.

The goal was not simply to replace existing content, but to create a sustainable foundation that could support future communication as the product portfolio continued to expand.

Our Approach

Instead of producing standalone videos one by one, we focused first on defining a clear visual and storytelling framework.

We developed a new video style built around:

• A consistent visual language

• Clear narrative structure for technical explanations

• High-quality 3D visualization to reveal internal system logic

• Modular storytelling that allows each product to stand on its own while remaining part of a larger whole

This approach ensured that every new video would contribute to a cohesive and recognizable content ecosystem.

The Solution

The collaboration began with an initial series of six product videos, each explaining a specific electrical system. Rather than treating these as isolated productions, they were designed as the foundation of an expandable video library.

Following the success of the first phase, production continued with a second series of videos, further extending the same visual language and storytelling principles.

Each video remains independent in subject matter, yet together they form a growing and coherent body of educational content.
